A depressing tendency has dominated the Copenhagen party scene for the last couple of years.
Commercial clubs have generally adopted house music, and even though it has helped widen the appeal for our scene, it has also left no room for experimenting and pushing the scene forward.
We at Nightology are kinda fed up with this, and we have decided to do something about it.
Label boss Rune RK has long lusted for a platform, were all generations could gather their experience and energy and thereby inspire each other.
Kick drum cook-off is this platform.
Once a month we will join forces with Mono Bar for a different night. It will be our living room, and we will invite people to play their favorite records.
Its not about hits or the obvious, its about clearing out the skeletons and hearing our favorite secret records loud.
Its about hearing the old boys playing records you never knew existed
Its about hearing the youngsters play records you never knew could exist.
Most of all its about being inspired by other great ears.
Rosa Lux - Ven Igen release party at Jolene went down better than we could have planned. Packed from the beginning - friends family and fans all showed up to congratulate Rosa on her first release.
First single release ’Ven igen’ from producer and DJ Rosa Lux is a breezing and laidback track, where Rosa’s smooth, and at times whispering vocal, nurses a friendship back on track again.
It’s hard to resist ‘Ven igen’ and that definitely has something to do with the groovy electronic beats that very convincing carries the listener through this dreamy universe. This track works in the car, while wining and dining with friends as well as at an Ibiza hippie beach sun set.
Remix versions from the likes of Rubys, Peter Patrick and Rune RK will also be available soon.
The Release will be celebrated at Jolene in the Copenhagen Meat Packing District on the 11th of November 2009. On the night there will be an exclusive screening of the music-video and the very limited physical release of the single will be sold at a special price.

This is the first single from Rune RK and Clara Sofie. The singing on this one is in Danish, but future projects will be in the old tounge of Eltharin (naah - we might just keep it in English).

Last night it went down in Tivoli at Voice 09. Rune RK delivered beats for the jumping and waving crowd with backup from the über-energetic and razor-sharp USO performing Dirty Dirty with a twist of MJ.
Clara Sofie blew everyone away with her beautiful voice. This was the first time that Rune RK and Clara Sofie performed together in public and a world premiere of the track “Det er Forbi”
Its already old news to many. We have been looking forward to the release of the CDJ2000 for a long time now, and now we are just waiting for the new player to become the industry standard in 2010. Wont be long before we we will be demanding this little bad-boy in our Riders for all our DJs.
Who knows - maybe we will upgrade the capacity of the album-releases and all you need is Nightology around your wrist and you are good to go
In a few hours we are heading for Tivoli to perform at the yearly Voice concert. Rune RK is bringing two artists to show off some of the fresh Nightology juice.

Nightology Records is proud to present the winner of ‘Mix that sh.. up’ competition for RAW 2009.
The winner has been found in a tough and strong field consisting of over 60 high quality remixes. The four judges have been deliberating for days and days and the discussions have been intense and sometimes scary. They have cried and laughed together - loved and sometimes hated each other to choose the perfect winner of this competition.
Lasbas will get a once in a lifetime opportunity to open the Main Room at RAW in front of more than 2000 people. It will all go down on Saturday the 1st of August 2009 at Docken.
Nightology Records would like to thank all the participants of the competition. The general feedback from the judges is that the quality of remixes has been higher than could have ever been expected and it was a close race.

Now it is here. Rune RKs first single in his series of collabs with the creme de la creme of Danish Hip Hop. The first singled titled ‘Dirty Dirty* features Århus-rapper USO who trashes up this track with his sharp lyrics and killer flow.
With this series of singles, making up the album ‘Oprørsudsalg’ Rune RK has set out to blow new life in the Hip-House genre that died almost 2 decades ago with Technotronic and KLF. With the star-studded roster of Danish rappers and singers all lining up in front of Runes studio, the genre is set to live once again.
Hip-House is the new thing. You are going to see a lot of this in the future. Rune is whipping up a new album with all the best Hip-Hop talent Denmark has to offer! This is the first single with super-talented always über-cool U$O.
We put up raffle for tickets to the party of the year. It is tomorrow and we are looking forward to some down and dirty action at Nørregade 1 after we have all been to the DDJA.
