Artmus
Artmus aka. Rasmus Stabell started his music career playing drums in his parents basement.
In his teenage years he met Jeppe Federpiel who was also a drummer and the two boys started to produced Hip Hop in Rasmus’s homestudio. Now 13 years later Rasmus & Jeppe has, under the name Providers, produced several track’s and no.1 hits for some of the biggest artist in Denmark. Artist like L.O.C, Outlandish, Szhirley, Medina, , Ataf Khawaja etc.. Most recently Medina – ’Kun for mig’ that went number 1 onn the the Danish singles chart.
After doing urban music for 13 years Rasmus decided to go back to his roots which is a mix of hip hop, rock and electronic music. Rasmus created an alias named Artmus which represents a playground with no rules and where anything is legal.
”I feel that electronic music gives me the freedom to do whatever I feel like and not being restricted by genre’s or trends. Artmus is Artmus for Artmus’s sake!”
Artmus has produced the track ”Artmus” which is out on Nightology records. Artmus is also behind the remix of Danish rapgroup Suspekt’s ”Sut den op fra slap (Artmus Re-Fix)” which was a massive underground hit in 2008.
Alongside his music career Rasmus has been DJ’ing in the Copenhagen nightlife for 10 years and has played at several venues in Copenhagen and London.
Rasmus Stabell is also co-owner of Labelmade Records.
