Nightology Records is proud to present the winner of ‘Mix that sh.. up’ competition for RAW 2009.

The winner has been found in a tough and strong field consisting of over 60 high quality remixes. The four judges have been deliberating for days and days and the discussions have been intense and sometimes scary. They have cried and laughed together - loved and sometimes hated each other to choose the perfect winner of this competition.

And the winner is:

LASBAS

Lasbas will get a once in a lifetime opportunity to open the Main Room at RAW in front of more than 2000 people. It will all go down on Saturday the 1st of August 2009 at Docken.

Nightology Records would like to thank all the participants of the competition. The general feedback from the judges is that the quality of remixes has been higher than could have ever been expected and it was a close race.

Now it is here. Rune RKs first single in his series of collabs with the creme de la creme of Danish Hip Hop. The first singled titled ‘Dirty Dirty* features Århus-rapper USO who trashes up this track with his sharp lyrics and killer flow.

With this series of singles, making up the album ‘Oprørsudsalg’ Rune RK has set out to blow new life in the Hip-House genre that died almost 2 decades ago with Technotronic and KLF. With the star-studded roster of Danish rappers and singers all lining up in front of Runes studio, the genre is set to live once again.

Hip-House is the new thing. You are going to see a lot of this in the future. Rune is whipping up a new album with all the best Hip-Hop talent Denmark has to offer! This is the first single with super-talented always über-cool U$O.

Sunday the 12th of April we went to The Danish DJ Awards and we brought home some plexi-squares for ‘Højere Vildere’.

We put up raffle for tickets to the party of the year. It is tomorrow and we are looking forward to some down and dirty action at Nørregade 1 after we have all been to the DDJA.

This is the handiest little application for Mac. You can block all internet traffic on your computer for the amount of time that you set. No reboot or nothing will change that - you have to let the time run out. You can also choose to block certain web-pages to make yourself more productive.

I could think of a few web-pages that would make us all get a little more work done…

Ridehuset - Århus - 4th of April - Ministry of Sound was on the poster but the majority of sound was delivered by Nightology Records with Rune RK and Zanjani making up half the Roster of the night. Ridehuset is by far my favourite venue in ‘Smilets By’ but has not lived up to my high expectations on our two recent trips. Love this little guy

Not a fan of the vocals, but the video is mindblowing!

Flip was in town to play some gigs and popped by the office for a chat. Since we were all going to the same concert in Store Vega we swung by Bastholms Bodega to consume a beast of a Wienerschnitzel. Enjoying the food and sweet Blues delivered by ‘Roadshow’ we lost track of time and only made it to the concert just as Jokeren played his last song. Not to make a complete waste of a Tuesday night his crew and ours invaded a nearby cocktail-bar where Pelski’jeg skal være i Gøteborg kl 10 i morgen tidlig’Love was in charge of the stereo and gave us a well-known lesson in early 90’s gangster-rap.

Still not sure what Rihanna’s last name is. We are none the wiser after duelling 2 young sweet girls on the Music Quiz on The Voice TV earlier today. Always good fun to find out that your general knowledge on current POP-music is pretty limited, but a good finish sprint in random trivia always comes in handy to take the victory. The wet puppy-eyes of our opponents left us no other choice than to hand over our winnings though. But we came with coffee in hand and left with hot chocolate, so it wasn’t a complete waste…
